It’s safe to say General Motors has worked fairly hard to put its cars front and center in the Transformers series. Between the actual characters, the government vehicles, and even extras – the GM theme is there.

But GM’s partnership with Michael Bay’s blockbuster series goes even deeper than that. For Transformers: Age of Extinction (now in theaters), the General allowed the film crew to shoot in the GM Technical Center in Michigan, GM’s own museum, and in its wind tunnel. The crew also got access to cars well before their release date – we’re jealous. Check out more behind-the-scenes GM goodies in the feature above.
