A homeless man wanted former NFL great/current Good Morning America host Michael Strahan dead earlier this week.

Police are unsure why Andre Johnson, a 25-year-old homeless man, wanted to kill Strahan. But according to reports, Johnson approached a security guard outside of the ABC studios in New York City early Tuesday morning and said that he was there to see Strahan. The security guard asked him to leave and Johnson did, but he returned to the scene a short time later with a knife and allegedly attempted to stab the guard. The guard was able to fight him off and cops arrived a short time later to arrest Johnson. But when he was taken down to a local police station, he told police that he had tried to get into the ABC studios "to kill Michael Strahan."

Fortunately, the man never came into contact with Strahan and Strahan was unaware of everything that was going on until after the fact. But this could have turned tragic. Instead, Johnson has been charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and menacing, and he won't be bothering Strahan again anytime soon.
