Because the company is currently under such heavy scrutiny, General Motors has had to switch up it's appearance marketing with all of these seemingly endless recalls. Today, GM announced six new campaigns, but instead of the usual super somber feel to the press release, the approach was that GM is just being soooooo meticulous now and has such high standards that they're going to catch every little problem. Those problems include 717,950 more cars and bring the total to more than 29 million on the year.

“These recalls signify how we’ve enhanced our approach to safety,” said Jeff Boyer, vice president, Global Vehicle Safety. “We are bringing greater rigor and discipline to our analysis and decision making. If we identify an issue – large or small – that might affect the safety of our customers, we will act decisively.”

Sure thing, Jeff. We're glad you're making sure to fix every single one of the cars you've released with problems, but how's the process changing behind the scenes for cars that are being made now?

Below is a rundown of the new recalled cars, and here is a complete list of every car recalled this year

414,333 vehicles recalled, because a bolt on the height adjuster actuator on the front passenger seats might come loose, causing the seats to move up and down on their own.

2011-2012 model year Chevrolet Camaro

2010-2012 model year Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain

2011-2012 Buick Regal and LaCrosse

2010-2012 Cadillac SRX

124,007 vehicles were recalled, because of bad welds on the seat hook brackets.

2014 Chevrolet Caprice

2014 Chevrolet SS

2014-2015 Chevrolet Silverado LD and HD

2013-2014 Cadillac

ATS, 2014 Cadillac CTS

2014 Cadillac ELR

2013-2014 Buick Encore

2014-2015 GMC Sierra LD and HD

120,426 vehicles were recalled, because the driver wouldn't be warned that one of the dual turn signal bulbs went out.

2011-2013 model year Buick Regal and 2013 model year Chevrolet Malibus equipped with front turn signals that use two bulbs in each front turn signal

57,242 vehicles recalled, due a bad ground connection to the power steering modele, which could make it more difficult to steer.

2014 Chevrolet Impalas equipped with belt-drive electric power steering

1,919 vehicles recalled, because a lower control arm bolt wasn't tightened well enough. The bolt could come free, the control arm could become loose, and the driver could lose steering.

2014-2015 Chevrolet Sparks

22 vehicles recalled, because incorrect retaining nuts were used on roof carriers and they might puncture roof rail air bags when deployed.

2015 model year Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban and GMC Yukon/Yukon Denali vehicles in the U.S
