The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution will ride off into the sunset with the conclusion of the 2015 model. As far as what will replace the hard-charging Evo…we’re not sure, but don’t expect a successor to show up overnight.
Changes for the 2015 Lancer Evolution are few. The side mirrors are now heated with integrated turn signals, and a drop cup holder with a lid has been added – we know, serious performance stuff.
Both GSR and MR trims add different convenience packages and amenities, such as leather seating, a power sunroof, and an upgraded nine-speaker sound system. Each Evo comes fitted with track-ready Brembo brakes, grippy Super All-Wheel Control system, and the Lancer’s signature 2.0L four-cylinder engine cranking out 291hp and 300 lb-ft of torque.
And you’ll be happy to know that the 2015 model retains the five-speed manual gearbox in the GSR trim, and offers up a six-speed twin-clutch automatic for the MR model. Buy ‘em while they’re still around.
