Toyota executive Hiroyoshi Yoshiki is a big tease. In an interview today at Bloomberg's Next Big Thing Summit in San Francisco he said Toyota has investigated hovercars. Then he declined to say when Toyota began looking into hovercars, how far into the research they are, or if they'll ever make it to the market.

Damn.

He did say the concept isn't like a flying car, but rather one that hovers a few inches above the ground to reduce friction. So you can chill out on the fears of cars flying all over the place. At least for now.
