LeBron James is under heavy attack right now for not playing at the end of Game 1 of the 2014 NBA Finals last night because of cramps. In fact, he probably feels like just about everyone is throwing shots at him at the moment. But there is at least one person who has come to his aid—and that person is Isiah Thomas.

Shortly after Game 1 ended last night, Thomas spoke with Yahoo! Sports about the cramps that crippled LeBron during the contest. And the former Pistons great revealed that not even Michael Jordan could have played through them.

"There is no athlete on the planet who could've played through those cramps," Thomas said. "Michael Jordan absolutely couldn't have played through those cramps. I absolutely couldn't have played through those cramps. As an athlete, there's nothing you could do."

Thomas is right, too. There is no one who would have been able to play through those cramps. Not MJ. Not Isiah. And not LeBron. So cut LBJ some slack.
