Elon Musk Says He’ll Build a Submarine Car

We're pretty sure he's also working on a flying, weaponized suit of armor powered by the reactor in his chest.

Lasy year, Elon Musk bought the submersible Lotus Esprit from The Spy Who Loved Me with the intent of making it function as depicted in the film. Yup, he's working on turning it into a reliable, fully functional submarine-car. This alone secured him as one of our favorite people, but now he has said the following: "We will be making a submarine car. It can transition from being a submarine to a car that drives up on the beach. Maybe we'll make two or three, but it wouldn't be more than that."

We need that car.

On flying cars, however Musk quipped, "We could definitely make a flying car – but that's not the hard part. The hard part is, how do you make a flying car that's super safe and quiet? Because if it's a howler, you're going to make people very unhappy."

The future is here, and it's musky.
