An old Bosnian man spared no detail when crafting this wooden Volkswagen Beetle. He used 50,000 pieces of oak to cover nearly everything in wood: the body, the rims, part of the tail lights, the windshield wipers, mirrors, stereo nobs, even the logo.
While certainly wacky, the result is beautiful. The car has a consistent shingle-like texture that's even replicated on the old man's hat. A Bosnian redditer said the man is a pensioned woodworker who made the car in honor of his wife, who is still alive (sigh of relief). It cost him $8,000 to fabricate, a lot of money in Bosnia, but he's refused to sell it for 10 times the cost.
That's how you do retirement.
