Surprisingly, this isn't the first smart bicycle we've ever seen. It may, however, be the coolest. A Kickstarter campaign has launched to produce the Vanhawks Valour, a carbon fiber bike that connects to a smartphone. It may seem gimmicky, but the features are actually pretty damn cool.
The Valour is capable of giving directions, tracking your rides, and alerting you to passing vehicles. The directions come from the handlebars, which have LED lights that glow on the left or right when a turn is approaching. If the bike senses a vehicle coming too close, the handlebar will vibrate on corresponding side.
You can get your hands on one of the Valours by donating at least $911 to the campaign. Vanhawk needs to hit $91,100 to make the project possible.
