Why do people spend seven figures on spectacular performance cars without bothering to spend a few thousand dollars on some good driving classes? It baffles us, but unfortunately a lot of people seem to think that being able to afford something immediately qualifies one to operate it.

The latest mechanical victim of this unfortunate personality trait is this white and red McLaren F1, which was flipped in Italy yesterday. The occupants both survived the crash, and the F1 isn't beyond restoration, but it's still a very sad thing.

So here's our advice to you: if you're going to buy a performance car of any kind, make sure you also buy some lessons in how to use it without harming yourself, anybody else, or the car.
