Last night, in Tampa Bay, during a contest between the Rays and the Baltimore Orioles, a Steve Pearce foul ball split two fans like a pair of uprights instead of, say, killing one of the fans and becoming the most viral video of all time. The irony of the fact that these two fans were paying no attention is that watching the game might've caused them to flinch in the direction of the ball.
This is definitely one of those "It's better to be lucky" instances.
