When the 2016 Audi TT and TTS turned up earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show, they had some people a bit hung up on styling. It’s safe to say the addition of a racetrack and lots of sliding will help to ‘Ring in some of the naysayers.

This video footage was taken during a recent Audi test run at none other than the Nurburgring Nordschleife on an especially wet day, which might effectively be the best opportunity to test the quattro all-wheel-drive from the new TT family. Things get a bit slidey to say the least.

The black Audi is pegged to be the upcoming Audi TTS, fitted with quattro and the 310-horsepower 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder, while the grey TT is purported to be a front-wheel-drive model. We’re not sure what to think of the exhaust note – thoughts?
