The Alabama quarterback got drafted much, much lower than what a lot of people predicted.

Winning two national champions as a starting quarterback doesn't get you a high draft pick, which is something A.J. McCarron can attest to. The former Alabama star finally got picked up by the Bengals as the 164th overall pick in the NFL Draft.

McCarron finished his career at Alabama holding many school records, including for all-time passing yards and passing touchdowns. He's been tagged with the semi-condescending "game manager" label, however, and it's been a wonder if his abilities will translate into the professional level.

McCarron has shown the ability to perform in big games, which is something the Bengals haven't. Cincinnati has been bounced in the first round in rather embarrassing fashion for three straight years. If Andy Dalton doesn't work out, McCarron would definitely be game.

Congrats @10AJMcCarron! Welcome to Cincy! #WhoDey
