Karl Malone has always been a physical specimen. Growing up on a farm in Louisiana will do that to you. So, it shouldn't come as a surprise that, at 36, Malone was still playing harder than ever while his peers were either severely broken down or retired altogether. And during Game 1 of the 2000 Western Conference First Round against the Seattle SuperSonics, The Mailman proved his ability to defy the odds once again when he dropped 50 points and became the oldest player in NBA history to score 50 or more in a postseason game. In 43 minutes, Malone shot 18/32 from the field, ripped down 12 boards and even had himself three steals that night. Not bad at all.
