With around a quarter of the season remaining, the Charlotte Bobcats are sitting in 7th place with a 29-33 record. With only five games separating the Bobcats from the Detroit Pistons, who are the first team on the outside looking into the playoff race, it's a make-or-break period for the franchise. And with that in mind, 'Cats majority owner and chairman Michael Jordan decided to do something he rarely ever does: swing by the team's locker room and give the players a motivational pep talk.

Told that Jordan very, very rarely even walks in Bobcats locker room, let alone addresses team. #Cavs #Bobcats

At the request of Bobcats head coach Steve Clifford, Jordan came into the locker room to drive home Clifford's point that the team should start thinking about the playoffs, viewing themselves as a playoff team and using the last 20 games as preparation for a strong playoff run. While there isn't much known about what exactly MJ told his players, but Al Jefferson did offer up a little insight:

Big Al on Jordan's pre-game speech: "He told us he was proud of us. But don't be happy with what you've already done."

Al went on to say, "If that doesn't motivate you, I don't know what will." And it looks like the approach worked because the 'Cats defeated the Cavaliers last night, 101-92.
