Isiah Thomas May Be the Pistons' Next General Manager

Because winning a championship is overrated.

Owner Tom Gores was hoping to make a run for the playoffs this season. Instead, the Pistons have fired a head coach and are 23-36. So to hell with it all right?

That seems to be Gores' mentality since he's eyeing Isiah Thomas for a general manager role. The same Thomas who coached a weakass, losing Knicks squad for two seasons. The same Thomas who was responsible for some horrendous front office decisions as New York lost for most of last decade. See how this is a bit ridiculous?

Regardless, Thomas is being looked at as a possible replacement for Joe Dumars, who was a member of the famed backcourt alongside Thomas during the Bad Boy Pistons era. The city of Detroit hasn't been through enough apparently.
