Cadillac recently bettered the breed with its new limited-run 2014 ATS Crimson Sport Edition. It’s hard to improve on a car that has already been named 2013 North American Car of the Year, but it helps that every single aspect of this special edition looks just right.

The ATS Crimson wears a unique exterior paint and boasts some flashy new jewelry. The interior can be equipped with four different base and accent colors – including black on black – and dresses up with 18-inch wheels, a ground effects package, rocker moldings and a slight rear spoiler. It’s safe to say that it looks the part.

But does it perform? Buyers can choose one of two powerful engine options for 2014; the 272 hp 2.0L turbocharged mill (with automatic box) or the 321 hp 3.6L V6 (in rear- or all-wheel-drive). Both are strong pulling engines, so it’s a tough choice, but the later in rear-drive configuration also offers a Track Package, however Cadillac hasn’t included exact specifics.

The Crimson Sport Edition will only be on sale in the spring of 2014. Prices start at $46,010 for the 2.0L and $51,010 for the V6 ATS Crimson. Start saving.
