Unfortunately, there have been quite a few stories that have come out about drunk drivers crashing their cars and trucks through houses over the course of the last year or two. We don't know if these things have always happened in the past and just weren't covered as closely as they are now or if more drunk drivers are crashing into houses statistically, but it feels like it's happened more and more frequently in recent years. And last Thursday, a drunk driver in Colorado took things to a whole new level.

An 18-year-old driver named Jorge Lopez was driving his truck under the influence in Colorado Springs, Colo. on Thursday and traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his car and slammed into a house. But he didn't stop there. After he hit the home and did extensive damage to it, he continued driving and hit another home. Both houses suffered significant damage and will need to undergo costly repairs in the coming months.

Miraculously, Lopez was not hurt in the accident and two passengers who were traveling with him in the truck at the time were also unharmed. But Lopez is going to face a ton of legal troubles for what he did. He was arrested a short time after the accident took place and charged with careless driving, DUI, and vehicular assault.

"I just heard a huge crash, and then another crash, and then another crash," a witness told local TV station KKTV after the accident. "It has affected that house, this house, and the neighbor's house, one house down. I mean, it's crazy."

It sure is. When are people going to learn not to get behind the wheel after drinking?!
