If Steve Bartman had a different kind of personality, he probably would have done everything possible to make the most of the notoriety he gained by infamously interfering with a foul ball during a Chicago Cubs playoff game back on October 14, 2003. He would have done a bunch of interviews about the incident, filmed some commercials poking fun at it, and maybe even landed a reality TV show about what it's like to be one of the most hated sports fans ever. But since interfering with a foul ball exactly ten years ago today, Bartman hasn't spoken one single word about it. In fact, he's done the exact opposite of what most people in his position would do—he has disappeared.

In honor of the 10th anniversary of the incident, TheNew York Times just ran a piece about Bartman. And not surprisingly, he refused to be interviewed by the Times for it. They did track down his spokesman, though, and also talked to a former Cubs executive, a former Cubs pitcher, and even Cubs fans to talk about Bartman. You can read the piece over here.

Does anyone think that Bartman is ever going to speak about the foul ball? We would like to hear him say something about it someday. But it's also kind of nice to see him turning down the chance to profit off of one of his favorite MLB team's lowest moments.
