Jerry Sandusky cost Penn State more than just a bunch of bowl games and scholarships. He also cost them a lot of money. An incredibly large amount of money.

For the last few months, the school has been trying to hammer out settlements with 26 men who claim that they were victims of Sandusky's sexual abuse. And now, after thorough negotiations between the school and the victims, Penn State has agreed to pay out more than $59 million total to the victims of Sandusky. The money obviously can't undo what Sandusky did to the men when they were boys. But it does prove that Penn State is finally doing the right thing and trying to help the victims move on with their lives.

Now let's hope that something like this never, ever, ever happens again.
