Do you think that guys like Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith overanalyze the game of basketball? Well, you haven't seen anything yet.

Beginning next season, the NBA is going to partner up with a company called STATS to install motion-tracking cameras in every arena across the league. The cameras will pick up every single movement that a player makes and reveal tons and tons of info about that player. So if you want to know whether or not LeBron James was really afraid to take a shot at the buzzer, you won't have to tune into First Take anymore. All you'll need to do is take a look at the data provided by STATS after games. It will tell you everything you need to know about a player, right down to how tired he was at any given moment during a game.

Crazy? Yeah, we would say so. We're entering a whole new era in the NBA—one that will uncover the truth behind everything that takes place on the basketball court during a game. We're not so sure that's the best thing for the league right now (do we really need to know that guys are half-assing it on the court?). But regardless of what we think, it's coming to an NBA arena near you. So we hope you're ready to overanalyze everything that takes place during games from now on.
