Alex Rodriguez's storied MLB career might be coming to a close. According to USA Today, MLB and Bud Selig are currently attempting to issue a lifetime suspension to A-Rod. MLB is not expected to make a formal announcement about the lifetime ban until tomorrow or Friday. And A-Rod will, of course, be allowed to appeal any suspension that MLB gives him. But if MLB even tries to suspend A-Rod for life, it will obviously be a huge deal.

Rodriguez isn't the only player who is expected to receive a suspension, either. He's the only one looking at a lifetime ban. But USA Today is also reporting that eight other players might receive 50-game bans within the next day or two. And many of them will likely accept their suspension without filing an appeal.

We'll be sure to keep you updated on who gets suspended in the coming days. It'll be interesting to see how this whole thing plays out.
