Heat forward Chris "Birdman" Andersen had a well-documented battle with drugs and alcohol a few years back. In fact, if you remember, Birdman spent two whole NBA seasons sitting on the sidelines after he was "dismissed and disqualified" from the NBA in January 2006 for testing positive for a prohibited substance. But he's battled back since then, and his journey culminated in him winning his first NBA title last night. That's cause for celebration, right?

Er, yes. But probably not the kind of celebration that Kevin Love suggested on Twitter. Shortly after the Heat beat the Spurs in Game 7 of the 2013 NBA Finals, Love sent out this tweet in reference to Birdman:

Birdman going off the wagon tonight? #justkidding #toofar

Too far is right. Birdman has worked hard to find a niche in the NBA after spending two years on the outside looking in because of drugs and alcohol. So we sincerely hope that he wouldn't do anything to jeopardize that now.
