2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Pace Car Set To Steal the Indy 500 Spotlight

It looks stellar in blue.

The make and model of the pace car for the 2013 Indianapolis 500 might be the same as last year, but this is a 100 percent different car. After the 2013 C6 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 ran the track, the completely redesigned C7 Corvette Stingray will take center stage at this year's 97th running of "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing." The 'Vette originally debuted at the 500 back in '78, and this will be the 12th time it has taken the lead spot, the most of any car. The Stingray, which has the Z51 package and houses an (estimated) 450hp 6.2L LT1 engine, will sport a spiffy Laguna Blue Tintcoat.
