Last weekend, Orrion Wilson tried out for The X Factor in New Orleans. And the judges apparently thought so highly of him that they invited him to the second round of auditions in New York City next week. But it looks like the 20-year-old Florida resident isn't going to be able to make the trip to the Big Apple because of what happened after his audition.

According to police in Slidell, La.—a town about 30 minutes outside of New Orleans—Wilson flew into the Big Easy over the weekend to attend the X Factor auditions. But, once they were over, he realized that he didn't have enough money to get back home. So, on Monday night, he decided to try and steal a Pontiac Grand Prix from a gas station in order to solve his problem. His plan was to drive the car all the way back to Florida to get home.

Unfortunately, his plan didn't work out too well. Shortly after he pulled out of the gas station, Slidell police attempted to pull him over and, after a brief high-speed chase that saw Wilson ram a police car, they were able to track him down and remove him from the vehicle. He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault of a police officer, theft of a motor vehicle, theft over $500, criminal damage, resisting an officer, and aggravated flight from an officer.

Worst of all, Wilson remains locked behind bars. So the only judge he'll be standing in front of anytime soon will be wearing a long robe and holding a gavel.
