Kobe Bryant isn't a fan of former Rutgers coach Mike Rice, who got canned last week after video surfaced of him physically and verbally abusing his players. During an interview with Jim Rome for an episode of Jim Rome on Showtime that will air tonight, the Black Mamba revealed that, if he had played for Rice, he wouldn't have allowed the coach to abuse him without getting payback.
"I would have smacked the hell out of him," Kobe says. "No question about it."
No question about it? Even if it meant throwing away a college scholarship and a dream of playing in the NBA one day? We find that hard to believe. Then again, this is Kobe talking. So, we don't doubt that he would have done it.
