If the MKZ Sells Well, Lincoln Will Make RWD Cars and More

This feels like extortion.

What we all want to see from Lincoln is a real sport sedan that can compete with the Cadillac ATS and the BMW 3-Series, and that means that we need rear-wheel drive. What Lincoln keeps giving us, however, is a bunch of Fords wearing lipstick. The MKZ, at least, is a Fusion that's wearing not just lipstick, but also a very nice D&G dress in the form of the sexy panoramic sunroof. We think it might sell in decent numbers.

We hope it does too, because Ford is promising us RWD Lincolns, Lincoln being the leader on developing new RWD platforms, AWD on all FWD cars, a new Navigator, and a new Escape based crossover, if the MKZ sells well. We want to see these cars on the market, so get out there and buy MKZs.
