In 2015 The SRT Barracuda Will Replace the Dodge Challenger

A new platform and the beginnings of a new brand.

None

The Challenger is pretty cool on account of the massive hemi V8 that resides under the hood, but it's deeply flawed. It doesn't drive like like a sports car, it drives like a family sedan. Largely, that's because the Chrysler LC platform is made from a lot of the early '00s crap Mercedes didn't have any use for anymore.

That's why SRT, the performance tuning divison turned full brand of Chrysler, has taken t designing a replacement, which will bear the Barracuda name in 2015. The Barracuda will be significantly smaller than the Challenger and 250 to 300 lbs lighter. Expect a choice of a turbocharged four pot, a V6, and another big-ass hemi.
