Deron Williams Dropped 57 Points on the Bobcats Tonight

And the Nets only won by three.

After scoring only seven total buckets in his past two games, New Jersey Nets star point guard Deron Williams did what almost every other team in the NBA has done this season: Take advantage of the Charlotte Bobcats. Williams exploded for 57 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds on 16-29 shooting. Almost as equally impressive were his 21 made free throws on 21 attempts. The 57 points were a Nets' franchise record previously held by Mike Newlin and Ray Williams at 52. Telling of how the Nets season has gone, New Jersey was actually down eight at halftime and only ended up winning by three points. The loss drops the Bobcats to 4-31.
