Chevy Is Working on a New Mystery Sedan

It will be "identical" to its NASCAR counterpart.

None

GM said today that next year Chevy's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series entry will be a "vehicle based on a new nameplate to the brand's lineup." Despite the obvious desires of the motoring public to know what it is, all we get is this:

"We are keeping the wraps on the new car for now and will continue to prepare for next season by testing camouflaged vehicles. We know that Chevrolet fans are eager to see the new racecar and we hope that the prospect of being able to own one just like it will make the wait a little more bearable."

We're going to come out and say that we think it will probably be a Caprice. Chevy is already manufacturing them for police use, so it wouldn't be too hard to introduce a civilian model. The RWD Caprice would be a good start for a NASCAR racer as well.
