Tony Romo isn't backing down from his critics. Almost two weeks after his world came crashing down thanks to a Cowboys' collapse against the Lions in which Romo threw three inexplainable picks to hand Detroit the game, he's firing back at all the folks who left him and the 'Boys for dead. Specifically, he responded to Deion Sanders yesterday when asked whether he's heard all the criticism aimed at him.

"Every once in awhile you definitely hear things," Romo said. "That's not something you search out. Deion is welcomed to his own opinion about stuff. Deion is Deion. He is what he is. We're going to go out here and we're going to play good football."

Then, he took things one step further by basically promising that the Cowboys will win the Super Bowl sometime soon—and saying that he wouldn't forget where folks stood during the times when his team was struggling.

"This team is going to win a Super Bowl at some point," he said. "It's going to be exciting when that time comes. And when we look back, we'll know who was on what side of the fence during those tough moments."

Now, that's what we're talkin' about, son! Tell 'em why you're mad! [via Pro Football Talk]
