This is no normal sports car. This is a hydrogen fuel-cell car that produces only 231 horses but still manages a respectable 0-60 of 4.9 seconds... in theory. Top speed, however is only 137mph, so passing on the interstate would probably be an issue in this vapor-ware. It also features a newly designed carbon fibre tank that holds hydrogen at an impressive 700 bar.

This is apparently the design direction Mercedes is taking for the 2025 CL-class. While designing a car 13 years early does seem a little excessive, our primary concern is with the weird proportions. From the side the car just doesn't look right. It's like an Audi TT that has been made much too long.
