Mariano Rivera, the New York Yankees generation-spanning closer, tied the record for career saves in Major League Baseball after securing the Bombers' 7-6 win over the Blue Jays today. Mo pitched a perfect ninth inning for his 601st save, a number that's all the more striking when you consider how much the Yankees have changed since his first. One more to go for Mo to pass Trevor Hoffman, but Rivera's long locked up the title of the greatest closer ever. Hats off!
