A-Rod, A-Rod, A-Rod: How many times has Bud Selig told you to stop participating in illegal underground poker games that involve cocaine, fisticuffs, and large sums of cold, hard cash!? Apparently, one time too many. Six years after the Commish warned Alex Rodriguez about playing in illegal poker games in New York City, Major League Baseball has announced that they are investigating A-Rod again for allegedly taking part in illegal high-stakes poker games, including one that ended in violence after a bettor refused to pay off a $500,000 gambling debt.

"We're talking to people involved in the investigation and we're taking this very seriously," an MLB executive said yesterday. "Because he had been warned about this before, I would say a possible suspension would be very much in play...I could see us trying to pursue this a lot further. The truth is still out there somewhere."

Ruh-oh! That doesn't sound very good for A-Rod—or Yankees fans—now does it? [via The Big Lead]
