LeBron James' Nike sneakers are about to get more affordable, with the brand planning to sell his forthcoming LeBron 14 shoe for $175. James' last full-on signature offering, the LeBron 13, retailed for $200.

News of the price drop emerged on Tuesday morning via a tweet from @IcySoleOnline. A retailer has confirmed the $175 price tag on the LeBron 14 with Sole Collector.

Chain sneaker retailer Foot Locker said in an earnings call in May that it was having trouble selling Nike LeBron and KD shoes because of their high prices and that it was addressing the challenge with Nike.

This isn't the only signature product from the brand to take a hit in pricing–Kevin Durant's latest signature shoe starts at $150, compared to $180 for the previous pair.

Nike hasn't released any info about the LeBron 14 yet, but the shoe should be unveiled toward the end of 2016.
