Nike releasing PE basketball sneakers isn't something new, but releasing pairs from WNBA players doesn't happen very often. That looks to be changing now with the release of Dallas Wings' All-Star guard Skylar Diggins Zoom Hyperrev PEs.
Diggins was ecstatic to share the news on Twitter earlier today. "Nothing can ruin my mood right now! Check my shoe out! They're gonna go fast," said Diggins. To add to this achievement, Nike took inspiration from Diggins' mother for the design. The inside of the strap reads "you do you," as a tribute to the motivation her mother provides for her. Diggins captured the admiration of fans everywhere during her time at Notre Dame, and has since moved on to become a two time all-star in the WNBA. Nike doesn't release women's PE sneakers often, so this is definitely a big deal.
This sneaker will release in limited quantities on May 7 at Nike.com.
