The upcoming return of the "Space Jam" Air Jordan XI Retro later this year will undoubtedly be amongst the most coveted sneakers of the holiday season. But will a possible change in its details makeĀ sneakerheads even crazier for its release?

Like the "Nike Air" branded Air Jordan Retros that fans will pay premium money for, the upcoming 2016 Space Jams might feature a detail that they've long coveted. Courtesy of Swish.Supply on Instagram, a supposed pair of the upcoming Space Jam Retros have surfaced showing '45' embroidered on the back heel instead of the more common '23.'

Most knowledgeable sneakerheads know that '45' samples were made for Michael Jordan as a PE to match the number he wore upon his return to the NBA in 1995. And when the shoe was released to the public for the first time in 2000, samples were also made with '45' on the heel.

So will this year's Space Jams finally feature the much ballyhooed number?

Considering it's a Remastered edition that is using original "Concord" details instead of the 'Royal' on previous Retros, there's certainly a strong possibility. With a few months to go before its reported December release, it'll be interesting to see how this story develops.
