Earlier today, Reebok blessed sci-fi nerds and sneakerheads with a retro of the Alien Stomper sneakers worn by Sigourney Weaver in 1986's Aliens. It was a moment that many people had been waiting on for years—decades, even—but it didn't go over as well as one might've hoped.

For starters, the Alien Stomper's limited production run was a problem. Only 426 pairs of the high top version were produced, and it goes without saying that there were a lot more than 426 people trying to cop them this morning.

Like any high-profile limited sneaker release, the Alien Stompers sold out with the quickness, and many pairs have already found their way onto eBay for inflated prices. As of publishing, it looks like pairs are actually selling between $700 and $800.

But that wasn't the only issue. We also spotted several tweets from people who were upset that no women's sizes were offered, despite the fact that the sneakers were made famous by Weaver's female character, Ripley.

We're not at all surprised that the sneakers were limited—it's part of the game, after all—but it's pretty hard to believe that Reebok dropped the ball on sizing after all these years. Check out some of the reactions below.
