Sneaker fans everywhere rejoiced when the atmos "Elephant" Air Max 1 won the Nike Air Max "Vote Back" campaign last month, and now we have more details about what may go into the retro. Atmos creative director Koji recently spoke with Hypebeast and discussed the original launch, as well as the upcoming retro.

While most people would prefer to see this sneaker return in O.G. form, Koji mentioned that he would be interested in changing up some of the original design. "As I said, it will be released next year. It would be very interesting if I could change some design or materials for the new Air Max 1 “Elephant” 2017 ver. I’m not sure it would be approved but I’m curious," said Koji. Considering how beloved this colorway is, we doubt Nike will approve changing the colors, but we wouldn't be surprised if updated materials were used to make the design even better.
