UPDATE (April 4, 1:50 p.m.): Iverson took to Instagram to explain why he wore Jordans: "I am Reebok for life but today I'm paying tribute to the man who gave me the vision, the Greatest of All Time, MJ," he wrote."

See original story below.

Never one to play by the rules, Allen Iverson stopped by ESPN's SportsCenter this morning to discuss his induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, and he did it in a pair of Air Jordans.

Even though Iverson has a deal with Reebok—which includes a $32 million trust fund—he showed up to SportsCenter in a pair of  "White/Cement" Air Jordan IVs, which dropped back in February.

This isn't the only time Iverson has worn Nike product in recent years. In 2014, he was spotted in a pair of Air Force 1s, so there might be some leeway in his Reebok deal. Still, it's pretty surprising to see the soon-to-be Hall of Famer rocking something other than Reeboks since his flagship Question sneaker is currently getting a special 20th anniversary run.
