Nike Designer Tinker Hatfield Says He'd Love to Design a Sneaker for Steph Curry

As sneaker world continues its celebration of Air Max Day, GQ recently posted an interview with the man behind the Air Max 1 and a plethora of other Nike classics, legendary designer Tinker Hatfield.

In the interview, which was conducted by Complex alum Jake Woolf, Hatfield is asked various questions including what its like to work with fellow HTM members Mark Parker and Hiroshi Fujiwara along with their working dynamic and the design process involved in creating product for the popular Nike sub-label. In addition, Hatfield is also asked "what makes certain sneakers stand the test of time" to which he shares the story of the Air Max 1 and why the choice was ultimately made to lead with that rather than the Nike Air Max Zero. 

Last, but not least, Hatfield is also asked about Stephen Curry and whether or not he wished he'd have the opportunity to design a shoe for the Golden State star. Hatfield stated, that he "would love to design a shoe for Steph Curry" and went on to further state that enjoys watching him perform and lists him amongst the top people he'd like to work with.
