An Attempted Sneaker Robbery in Pittsburgh Leads to the SWAT Team Being Called

Two teenagers in Pittsburgh are in custody after an attempted home invasion that shook the Lawrewnceville community.

As reported by Action News 4, on Saturday night, two armed juveniles were witnessed jumping out of a car and donning masks as they headed toward's a home. One of the accused was then spotted on the roof of the home attempting to break in through a window. Police officers were called to the scene and the suspects were quickly apprehended. Concerned that others may still have been in the home, SWAT had to be called in as tensions ran high in the community. No others were found to be in the home and the neighborhood slowly returned to normalcy.

The reason for the attempted home invasion: a sneaker collection. No one was hurt in the incident and the names of the individuals were not released because both are juveniles.

Many of you that frequent this site are holding sneaker collections in your own homes so it's best to take extra precaution when conducting sneaker business. Don't conduct transactions at your home and don't share your address with people you don't know all too well. Having a proper security system surely helps, but in cases where that isn't possible, just be extra cautious.
