Back in September, we shared an early look at an upcoming Nike Air Penny 2 retro that was similar to Sole Collector's 2011 Las Vegas-exclusive "Penny Signature Pack" collaboration. Now, following the release of the O.G. "Atlantic Blue" colorway, we're learning more about this collab-like colorway.

Officially dubbed "Black/Varsity Blue," these latest Penny 2s are essentially the same sneaker from the Sole Collector collab with a handful of small branding changes.

For starters, the publication's logos don't appear on this release, and the collaboration's copper-tinged tongue logo shifts to a more standard black and blue. Additionally, the Swoosh logo on the side panel's 3M oval has been replaced with Penny's "1 Cent" insignia. If you're able to overlook these changes, it's pretty much the same shoe.

According to Sneaker News, this Air Penny 2 colorway is slated to drop next month on April 8 for $160, but we'll let you know if anything changes before then.
