The Flint, MI community has had to deal through tough times recently as a result its toxic water crisis, so the Detroit Pistons decided to give a helping in hand in raising some of the spirits there. The Pistons teamed up with Big Hearts Big Souls Inc. to donate sneakers to the Northwestern and Southwestern high school basketball teams, in an effort to show a little love to those who need it.

Big Hearts Big Souls Inc. is a non-profit organization that primarily provides sneakers and boots to larger-sized individuals, but also to those in all sizes when needed. M Live was on hand to capture the exchange and speak with founder and CEO Liza McKenzie.  “What we’re trying to do is create a go-to place, at least for now, where anybody in the country can call me and I will send them shoes,” McKenzie said. Along with the adidas and Under Armour sneakers, winter boots donated by Bogs were also given to the players. It's great to see the the Pistons partnering with such an admirable organization to give back to the community.
