It's been nearly two years since Nike dropped the "U.S. Open" Air Tech Challenge II in celebration of Andre Agassi's success at the annual Grand Slam tournament, and although we got the back-story from Nike in 2014, we haven't heard much about the sneakers from the man himself—until now.

After breaking down his infamous "Hot Lava" Air Tech Challenge II colorway with Unscriptd earlier this year, Agassi turned his attention to the patriotic limited edition pair for this clip. "These things are retro... they did it for the U.S. Open, which is red, white, and blue, but then they also, if you can see the backs, it's also for the gold, because I won the gold medal as well," Agassi said.

Unfortunately, these "U.S. Open" Air Tech Challenge IIs are long gone from retail at this point, but the good news is that the resell price isn't as ridiculous as you might think. Pairs can be found from between $135 and $250 right now at Stadium Goods.
