And Drake did just that as he gifted 2 Chainz a pair of the "Kentucky Blue" OVO x Air Jordan VIII Retro which he unveiled on his Instagram over the weekend. In our Sneaker Shopping episode featuring the Hair Weave Killer, 2 Chainz intimated that Drake had not given him a pair of the "OVO" x Air Jordan X. Well, Chainz may not have been laced with the Xs, but Drake made it up with these ultra-exclusive VIIIs.
So what does this gifting mean for the rest of the sneaker community? For one, it deads the rumor of the shoe being a one-of-one and gives fans some hope that the shoe might actually release. Jordan Brand has made no announcement regarding the "Kentucky Blues" so we'll just have to see if news develops.
