New year, new sneakers, and 2016 is starting off with a handful of releases worth your consideration.

First up, there's an Air Jordan II Retro inspired by Spike Lee's classic Do the Right Thing film. You don't necessarily have to be a fan of the movie to appreciate these, though, as the black-based style with varied color accents should appeal to both old and new 'heads.

Elsewhere, Nike hits the hardwood for the inaugural colorway of Kobe Bryant's final on-court shoe, the Kobe 11. This debut "Achilles Heel" colorway is literally history in the making, as there's no telling what will happen to the signature line after Bryant retires. NikeLab's also got a premium set of Air Force 1 Mids on deck.

Sneaker collaborations are coming out hard, too, with projects from Homegrown x Nike SB, New Era x New Balance, Bodega x ASICS, and Bait x Diadora lined up.

Check them all out below in A Complete Guide to This Weekend's Sneaker Releases.
