adidas is no stranger to updating its retro sneakers with modern tech. In fact, the brand is one of the very best at doing it — look no further than popular models like the ZX Flux and NMD Runner. As great as those are, the Three Stripes may have outdone itself with this one.

Meet the EQT Support 93/16 Hybrid. As the name suggests, this sneaker lifts the upper from the EQT Support 93 and swaps its traditional midsole for the elongated sole of the Ultra Boost runner. From a visual standpoint, it's a pretty drastic shift from what we're used to seeing, as the EQT Support 93's O.G. midsole is one of its defining features. However, the area where these are really going to shine is their comfort, as the cloud-like Ultra Boost setup is literally decades ahead of the dated 1993 cushioning.

The adidas EQT Support 93/16 Hybrid is set to release at spots like Overkill on January 30, which means a U.S. release shouldn't be far behind. Based on the current conversion rate, retail will come in at right around $174.
