For a sneakerhead, nothing beats the feeling of finally obtaining a "grail." Whether it's a pair that you've been eyeing for years or a more recent retro that you've wanted since youth, the moment you cop and receive said pair is quite memorable.
However, for one sneakerhead, the joy of copping a grail quickly dissipated after an email from Nike. During this past week's Nike Store Air Jordan restock, Reddit user swishbig thought he had lucked out and copped a pair of the Air Jordan 1 Retro "Chicago." Unfortunately, it was not meant to be. Swish took to Reddit and created a post titled, "I thought I finally copped a grail with the recent Nike Jordan restock..." In it, swish shared the a screen cap of the email Nike sent him which basically stated it had oversold the Chicagos. While missing out on a grail was undoubtedly disappointing, at least Nike is trying to soften the blow and make ammends with a code for 20 percent off a future purchase.
