Although today's Air Jordan Retros come in a wide variety of colorways, that wasn't always the case. There was a time when Jordans were strictly associated with the Chicago Bulls' black and red uniform colors, and it actually took years for the brand to fully embrace the lifestyle set.

To better understand how it happened, Champs Sports looked back on some of the most memorable releases. During the mid-2000s, Jordan Brand introduced LS — or Lifestyle — releases which included pairs like the "Do the Right Thing" Jordan III, "Thunder" Jordan IV, and "Grape" Jordan V and were often accompanied matching apparel collections.

Of course, eventually the Lifestyle releases lost their distinction and non-Bulls colorways became ordinary, but without early releases that pushed the boundaries between on-court and off-court style, things could have been very different. Reminisce on the history of Lifestyle over at Champs Sports now.
